Stop Press... Now fully booked for summer 2009
Will you miss your hens and worry about them while you’re away on holiday? Here’s the solution….
A holiday all of their own in a sunny garden in ‘idyllic’ Banbury, where they will have the best of attention from an experienced poultry keeper.
I will provide:
- Daily free-ranging on a shift basis with my own hens
- Eglu cleaning twice per week ( I will use high quality Aubiose bedding in the poo tray and nest box)
- A diet of the best layers pellets or mash (you can supply your own feed if your hens prefer this)
- Treats of mixed corn with sunflower hearts, plus green vegetables and other vegetable scraps
- I will give them a quick health check once a week
- I will save some eggs for your return if you provide me with a box.
They will be housed in an award winning orange Eglu with a covered run.
Please note that, in the unlikely event of one of your chooks being taken poorly, I have access to an excellent specialist poultry vet.
I recommend and use Life-Guard poultry tonic, and will happily pop some in your hens' water to ensure their good health, and help them lay the most deliciously healthy eggs.
And finally, the boring, but necessary small print…..Hen Holidays are at your own risk; I will make every effort to ensure the health and happiness of your hens, but cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss or injury. In the unlikely event of any illness or injury, any vet bills will be your responsibility (please let me know if you would prefer me not to take them to the vet).
Please check your hens over before bringing them to stay; if they have lice, then I will treat them for their own comfort and wellbeing, and also to avoid infecting my own flock. I will check all hens on arrival just to be sure, but if I find lice then I will treat them.
Your booking is your agreement to these terms.
Please note that due to the proximity of my neighbours, I am not able to offer holidays to cockerels.
I charge £20 per week, and request a deposit of 50% of the full charge as confirmation of your booking.
Please contact me using the email or private message facility to enquire about booking your hens in for a break.
I can also board small furries such as bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters (the latter will need to bring their own housing)
